SINGLE-LEVEL BLIP

A Single-Level Blip is a visual indicator used in microfilm systems, consisting of a small mark or dot placed at regular intervals along the film. It typically signals the beginning or end of a roll, section, or document. The "single-level" refers to the blip being positioned at one consistent height on the film, serving as a straightforward reference point for indexing, navigation, or locating specific content during the viewing process.

DUAL-LEVEL BLIP (DOUBLE-BLIPPED)

A Dual-Level Blip (Double-Blipped) is a visual indicator used in microfilm or microfiche systems, consisting of two marks or "blips" placed at different levels on the film. This method helps to differentiate between various sections or types of content, making it easier to locate specific documents or images.
